When I worked as a university professor, my job was mainly to prepare PE teachers to teach. I loved the young people, I loved doing the scientific research, and (for the most part) I loved the atmosphere of the university.
What I didn’t love was the information contained in the textbooks and the unhealthy approach to health. You see, the nutrition courses, the anatomy and physiology courses, and even the general physical education courses always leave out really important information about optimizing human health.
Your body is designed to heal.
The most important bit of information left out of nearly every textbook, is that the body is designed to heal itself and in order to do that, we have to take care of the mind and emotions so the nervous system can function properly. This is even more important than measuring inflammation in the body or quantifying the risk of heart disease from cholesterol levels.
The driving force behind my desire to teach has always been about helping people get healthier. I’ve been helping women reach their health and fitness goals since 1986. Good health is more than the absence of disease. Good health is reflected in strength, flexibility, and a good mood. I can see the state of your health by looking at your skin, your eyes, your nails, and the way you carry yourself.
But good health IS ALSO the absence of disease. You’re not supposed to live with chronic diseases and pain.
You are meant to be happy.
The body is designed and created to heal, and you are meant to be happy. All you have to do is walk down the halls of the university and see the unhealthy pallor on faces of the professors (right there in the Department of Kinesiology and Health) to know that they may not really know and certainly do not practice what they’re talking about.
They might be able to talk about it but they have no idea how to really apply the knowledge in a useful and wise way that is helpful to people.
I firmly believe that until a coach, teacher, doctor, or physiologist can take care of themselves properly, in a way that leads them to good health, they can’t really take care of anyone else.
Before leaving academia behind, I earned several certifications and a license as a Pastoral Medical Counselor.
And so I am all these things: Pastoral Medical Counselor, Natural Health Counselor, Yoga Teacher, Fitness Coach, Meditation Teacher, and Ayurvedic Lifestyle Counselor.
But mostly, I’m a medical intuitive. I use many different tools and methods to help you heal energetically so that your body can heal itself.

My roots lead me back to natural health…
I was born in Europe to a first generation American Father and a Lithuanian Mother who had a deep and meaningful connection to her roots and ancestral way of life.
After I was born, we lived in Germany until I was about 10, and then moved to the United States. Living in the US was a big change for all of us, and I’m sure very difficult for my Mother, especially.
Not only was the lifestyle different – we lived in a subdivision and you had to drive a car to get everywhere (much different than how we lived in Germany) but every single thing about the culture was different. No one we knew had a garden and access to familiar fresh vegetables was somewhat limited.
In fact, our neighborhood didn’t allow vegetable gardens! Can you imagine?
Plus – it was the 70’s! So, our diets changed radically. And not for the better. As a child, I didn’t really understand the impact this would have on my family’s health. And since my Mother really didn’t see that she had a choice, I think she just did the best she could with what was available.
The 70s changed everyone’s diet, and I wanted my lifestyle to be different.
The 1970’s were an adjustment for everyone, though, not just my family. The 70’s brought frozen dinners, boxed food, and processed everything was becoming the standard American diet. My Mother managed to avoid feeding her family that way until we all left the house.
But as soon as we did, she and my Father started eating the standard American diet. I watched from a distance as both of my Parents grew unwell and then died in their early 60’s.
But I could see they were already sick when they were only in their 40’s!
I knew that wasn’t what I wanted for myself and I knew that all of my ancestors before us had been very healthy and had lived very long lives – despite living in a more primitive place – even before the invention of modern medicine.
Very early on, I decided my own lifestyle would be different.
I wanted to learn the best ways to keep myself healthy so that I could continue to do the things I love to do – like ride my bike and have fun with my family, and travel. I started teaching group fitness classes, yoga and meditation, and even got really serious about all of it and earned a Master’s of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health.
Why Do Some People Get Sick While Some People Don’t?
I’ve always been interested in why some people get sick and some people don’t. Why some people can eat whatever they want and not gain weight and others just smell a cookie and their pants don’t fit anymore. We are unique individuals made up of all the ingredients passed down from our ancestors. Our DNA is coded with switches that are kind of similar to light switches that are turned on or off based on how we move, what we eat, and even what we think and how we breathe!
My goal is always to help you become healthier, happier, and more free. I am here to serve as a guide in your transformation. I want you to be the healthiest, happiest, and most spirit-filled YOU that you can be. Whether you’re fit now and want to stay that way through your 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s, or your 70’s and beyond, or you’ve been taking care of everyone else and your own health has suffered for it, I want to help you reach your most peaceful mind and easeful body.
